New Registration System: Play Football 2.0

πŸ”„ Important Change for 2026

We're transitioning from DRIBL to Play Football 2.0 for all registrations starting in 2026.

This change is in response to a directive from Football Australia, which has mandated that all players across the country must be registered on a single, unified system.

What is Play Football 2.0?

Play Football 2.0 is Football Australia's new national registration platform designed to streamline the registration process for all football clubs across Australia. It provides:

  • Mobile-optimized experience - Register easily from your phone or tablet
  • Single family account - Register and manage your whole family from one login
  • Simplified login - Use your email, Facebook, or Google account (no FFA number needed)
  • Unified system - One registration system for all of Australian football
  • Secure profile management - Your football history follows you across clubs and seasons

Why Are We Making This Change?

Football Australia has mandated this transition to create a consistent registration experience across all football clubs nationwide. Benefits include:

  • Better data management and player tracking across the country
  • Improved communication between clubs, associations, and Football Australia
  • Enhanced security and privacy protection for participants
  • Streamlined processes for transfers and player movements
  • A modern, user-friendly mobile experience

πŸ“± Already Have a Play Football Account?

If you've previously registered using Play Football (MyFootballClub), your details have been migrated to the new system. You'll just need to claim your existing profile when registering.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Play Football 2.0?
Play Football 2.0 is Football Australia's new national registration platform. Parents create a single Football Account and can then register and manage all their children from one login. It's mobile-optimized and allows you to use email, Facebook, or Google to login.
What happened to DRIBL?
We are transitioning from DRIBL to Play Football 2.0 starting in 2026. This change is mandated by Football Australia to create a unified registration system across all Australian football clubs.
I registered on MyFootballClub or Play Football before. What do I do?
Great news! Your details have been migrated to Play Football 2.0. When you register, make sure to use the same email address you used previously to claim your existing profile and maintain your football history.
Do I need to create a new account every year?
No! Once you create your Football Account, you can use it every season. You'll just need to complete the registration process each year for your child/children.
What is the registration fee?
  • A one-off payment for the whole season
  • Includes your playing uniform
  • All referee fees
  • At minimum, Football Australia and Football NSW components must be paid online at registration
Where does my registration fee go?
The various governing bodies, Football Australia & Football NSW & our Association BDAFA make up the bulk of where your money goes. A very small portion goes to the club's operating expenses e.g. playing equipment, lighting fees, field and clubroom hire from council and maintenance. Club uniform and referee fees are also included.
Where do I get help with Play Football registration?
What do I need to buy?
  • All players need soccer boots and shin pads for games and training. We recommend not over spending on 'boots' as the kids grow out of them in one season
  • Training kit recommended
  • Club apparel is available for sale at our shop on the club website
When do I get the Player Uniform?
Full uniform (shirt, shorts, socks) is included in your registration fee. The uniform is distributed late March, ready for the first game of the season.
Is there a Training Uniform?
We suggest that you buy the training set from club on-line store @ $26 for shirt and shorts.
When is training?
  • Training starts early February for most teams for 1 hour approx
  • Junior teams usually train Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday depending on coach availability
  • Girls teams train Wednesday nights
  • Start time varies from 5:30 to 6:30 depending on the age of the player and availability of the coach
  • Training days and times are confirmed after discussion with coaches and parents as what suits their team best
Game Day - What time are the games?
All junior boys/mixed teams play on Saturday mornings. Younger age groups usually play earliest. Junior girls teams aged 12 and over play Sunday mornings.
Where are the games played?
Games are played on a home and away basis, so every second week your team will play at our home ground. Other weeks, there are 19 other clubs in the Bankstown area and you will play at one of these parks as determined by BDAFA. The draw for the whole season is released late March.
Are the workers paid?
NO. Everyone who you see working either on the field or in the clubhouse or canteen - remember they are ALL volunteers.
